Calenders

Hi all, it's still a little silly season-ish around here.... I hope everyone has a great night tonight for the new year. Be safe not silly! I am off to my SIL's house around the corner (and the kids are having a sleepover!) Woo hoo... :D

Here are some calenders I made as gifts for my grandmother and my sister.

My grandmother's calender has a photo of her and all of her great grandchildren taken December 2008.

My sister's calender has a classic quote from Nikki asking "When can we go out for dinner for her birthday?"

"Ummm... your birthday is in October!" (She asked this in December.)

I have used a bunch of supplies from my stash but the Stampin' Up! materials used are listed below

Stamps: Baroque motifis, circles circus / Simple birthday thanks, family phrases
Cardstock: Rose red, whisper white, pink passion / creamy caramel, pink passion, chocolate chip, real red
Designer series paper: Raspberry tart
Punches: Large oval punch, photo corners, 3/4" circle, 1/2" circle
Accessories: Jumbo pewtar brad, 1/4" white grosgrain ribbon, brads, crystal effects

December daily - album, intro, day 1 & 2

I have finally managed to get a bit of my December daily album done. I am still taking photos and recording journaling even though it is now after Christmas. I decided to do a full 31 days of December.

The is my album I am using. It is an 8.5" x 8.5" album that I made myself.

Accessories: Crystal effects, stampin’ write markers

Merry Christmas

I want to wish all my readers a Merry Christmas. As I type this I am off to my SIL's place to sort out the stocking gifts we exchange as family. I have a couple of decorations left to finish for immediate family and I am done!!! Hubby, not so much.

I have a few things to share after Christmas which are calenders I made for family and some of my December daily. I am slowly working on it! Once the hustle and bustle of the season has settled down a bit I will be busting to come back and show it all to you. (I won't be back before the 27th as we celebrate boxing day with my family, lunch at Mum's (with my brother, sister, step brother and step sister plus all the kids!) and dinner at Dad's. (Tomorrow is lunch with mum at my sister's and dinner at the in-laws)

In the meantime, thank you for your visits, your comments and your support of my blog this past year. Have a wonderful Christmas, how ever you will be celebrating and I’ll see you all back here soon!

Dummy free household

As of tonight (Tuesday) we are a dummy free household. Bella gave her dummy to Aunty Fiona in exchange for a new stuffed toy Jaguar (just like Jaguar in Diego only it is from the Perth Zoo.) A huge milestone as we have had dummies in our house for the last 6 years. All that remains of them is the dummy chains. I am not going to waste them, I'd rather give them to someone that can get some use of our them. Not only this month did we give up the dummy, but we also no longer wear a nappy to bed.

My Bella Boo is a true big girl now.

MMM

I actually have no card to show you today as I have finished sending my Christmas cards and still had some spares!!! I am however using the free time today to make some progress on my december daily album. I have almost completed my first page. I will share when I have a few done.

I have decided to continue with my MMM next year. I will, however be taking a break during January and will resume MMM in on the 1st Monday in Febuary. In the new year, I will be offering instructions files each month for the cards I have made, similar to the 12 days of Christmas pdf I offered this year in November (which are still available if you'd like to purchase them). 

Frankston hospital

The kids and I spent the wee hours of Saturday morning at Frankston Hospital... Drew was bleeding from his ear and in pain. We had to make sure he hadn't burst his eardrum and/or it wasn't affecting his hearing.

There is certainly better ways to spend 4 hours with 4 kids on your own than at the hospital. We were apparently put on a *fast track* but it was didn't feel like a fast track at all.

Drew has more blood and puss in his ear and has been put on anitbiotics for 7 days to clear it up. So far, he is responding well to the medicine but I am still recovering from my "night trip" with the kids. If I hear "I want to go home" one more time in the near future, I swear I will scream.

Teachers card and gifts

In Australia we receive a information booklet each month from Stampin' Up! called Impressions and the idea for today's card is from a Stampin' Up! publication called Stampin' Success which is the US version of Impressions, (which we are able to view online.) I totally love getting two inspiration booklets to read each month. For anyone that is interested in joining Stampin' Up! don't forget about the promotion ending December 31st where Stampin' Up! are donating money to the National Breast Cancer Council and new recruits are receiving additional free pink products. Ink: Whisper white, chocolate chip, creamy caramel
Punches: Word window, heart to heart, small oval, round tab
Accessories: Rub ons (retired), black gingham ribbon

The card is for Josh's teacher and along with Nikki's kinder staff they received (or will be) a handmade decoration by me. Each decoration has a photo of the child on it saying "thank you". Childcare staff received the "fake polaroids" in this post.
