She's 5!

My Miss Nikki turned 5 last Saturday and boy was she been hanging out for her birthday. She knew it was after Grandpa's birthday and kept asking how many sleeps... Eventually I told her it was 2 more childcare days and 1 sleep etc as she was getting cranky with being told it was "x" amount of sleeps.

Her biggest excitment about her birthday was that she was getting her ears pierced. She has been hounding me for so long and I was trying to hold off till Christmas as it is a little bit of a family tradition to have your ears pierced the Christmas before you start school. Do you know how difficult it is to get a 5 year old's ears pierced on a Saturday? OMG!!! Let's just say we will be going to the local tattoo parlour to get it done on Monday. Yes, you read right, the tattoo parlour!!!

We spent Saturday at the swimming pool, had Mc Donald's and finished with fish and chips for dinner. The kids were all overtired and stayed up late and I paid for it the following day.

Nikki was totally spoiled by all family members for her birthday with new Barbie toys, lots of clothes, bathers, shoes, games and much much more.

Just a couple of pictures of the birthday girl (and her earrings) along with Josh who also had his ear pierced. Back again in a matter of days with yet another birthday post, Mr Drew's turn...

Making Merry Monday #21

Here again so fast. Today's card is an explosion card that we made at my most recent workshop on Friday. Now, I haven't done a workshop in a LONG time and I had forgotten how much fun it was for both me and the attendees. It was a blast and one of the lovely ladies booked another workshop so I will be seeing many of the same smiling faces in a few weeks time.

Ink: Baja breeze, sahara sand, versamark

Cardstock: Whisper white, baja breeze, sahara sand

Other: Ski Slope designer series paper, black embossing powder

A card CASE

Remember the dinosaur from this and this posts? Well during the week, a sample turned up in my inbox from Robin Messenheimer. She made this card for her grandson's 7th birthday.

New rubber!

There is nothing better than new rubber to get the mojo flowing...

On the holidays Angela (Nikki's kinder teacher) got married, so I sent her off to kinder today with a card wishing her congratulations. We know Angela quite well as she also taught Josh and Nikki at childcare last year. Angela totally loved her card and Nikki was so excited giving it to her. She told Angela that "my mum made it all by herself!!!"

How cute is that!

Anyway, here is the card and the inside I decorated.
