A quick reminder, the September ribbon promotion ends on Wednesday. To receive 18m of FREE ribbon, simply contact me and purchase $100 worth of goodies.
I am slowly creating one last ribbon promo card... I am still sick with ear infections and my balance off a little off so I have no been able to create as much as I would like to.
Here is a sneak peak of my final ribbon project. I hope to finish it tonight...
Yesterday the family and I were off to my dad's place to celebrate his birthday. I didn't even have the engery to make him a card so I pulled one out of my stash I use for emergancies. I did manage to make a carrot cake for him though. Such a yummy recipe I must share.
1/2 cup S.R. flour
1/2 cup plain flour
1/2 cup castor sugar
1/4 brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp bi carb soda
1 tsp cinamon
2 eggs
1/2 cup oil
2 grated carrots
Mix all ingreidents together except carrot. Add carrot. Cook in 180 degree oven for approx. 25 minutes. When cool ice with cream cheese icing.
I use icing sugar, cream cheese, a dash of vanilla essence and 1 tbs spoon or so of butter. Mix together till smoth and spread over cake. (I don't actually use measurements to make the icing, it is just a bit of this and that.) Any leftovers keeps well in the fridge and does taste really good when dipped with strawberries.
At the moment, over at Stampamemory we are looking for some guest DT. See this post for details.
I will be back later today with my Making Merry Monday. Just waiting on some crystal effects to dry before taking a photo.
