After the Drewie post the other day, I started writing an update for all the other kids (August 24th). I then decided what I had written for everyone else, Drew needed a section too as his blog entry didn't cover much. This journaling is mainly for my records but I imagine a few people that know the kids well will get a little chuckle out of it. I plan on doing a double (yikes) 12 x 12 layout on this soon.
Joshie update...
Age: 6 years and 1 month
Height: 120cm
Weight: 21.8kg
Shoe size: 13
Clothes: Size 6 clothes for length (still has no bum and will wear Drew’s clothes if he hasn’t read the size tag).
Loves school except for some reason doesn’t like writing on Mondays and Visual Arts (Music) on Fridays. I know he doesn’t like Visual Arts because he doesn’t want to do the Monster Mash in the school concert, happy to do Wild Thing though (go figure). Still working out the writing thing as he loves to write and draw at home. Is currently on set 13 of focus words, (place, thought, long, more, police, boat, soon, fell, or, asked) he loves moving up a level and was on set 4 at the beginning of June! Currently has school swimming lessons on Friday afternoons.
Has a ridiculous love of AFL and demands to watch Friday night football and any other time he remembers football is on. His favourite AFL teams are Geelong, Essendon, St Kilda and (can’t remember the other one!!!)
Loves kicking his footy too, and kicks it in the house no matter how many times we have a conversation of “balls are outside toys!” He spends recess and lunch at school playing footy as he comes home and his socks are filthy, not to mention the sliding etc. he is doing on his school pants (and all pants for that matter).
Nikki update...
Age: 4 years and 10 months

Clothes: Size 4 & 5
Attends kinder and loves it, has many friends, some of which also go to childcare. Likes to play barbies, dress ups and put make up on.
Still prefers to wear dresses/skirts than pants. Will occasionally wear jeans but no other pants, only leggings under clothing. Doesn’t seem to feel the cold and is happy prancing around in a singlet/skirt combo far too often. Takes Emily the Elephant (handmade stuffed toy from Grandma) to bed at night and if upset always found cuddling Emily.
Has not been well for a week and a half and has a terrible cough. (Hasn’t attended kinder in that time either. Sending me slightly insane!)
Drewie update...
Age: 3 years and 10 months

Attends childcare but hates being dropped off. Loves the space when Josh and Nikki are at school and kinder and he is the “biggest” boy. Plays well alone and with Bella. Loves a cuddle, prefers to stay in his pj’s instead of getting dressed, is a mummy’s boy and still loves to drink milk. Bananas and eggs are his two favourite foods.
Constantly says “nahhh” instead of “no”. Sits on the toilet to go instead of standing (not that I am complaining, less mess!) Still puts shoes on the wrong feet and doesn’t seem to find them uncomfortable at all.
Bella Update...
Age: 2 years and 4 months
Height: 96.5cm

Clothes: Size 2
Loves time to watch Dora the Explorer or Diego. Will play happily with Barbies or dolls. Loves to be outside and has recently discovered drawing with chalk. Loves to draw with textas unfortunately on the walls in our house not paper!
Still has dummy for sleep time, occasionally naps during the day and lets us know when she is “tired”. Has her own opinions and lets you know it. Hates having her hair brushed but absolutely loves shower and bath time. Happy as a pig in mud in the bath, especially in there by herself and not sharing with anyone. Thinks it is her own little swimming pool.
