Mother's day

This year for mother's day, I had some extremely excited kids. As hubs and I had only gotten back from Darwin the evening before they were chomping at the bit to see me and gather and chat.

The kids spoiled me with lots (11) of handmade cards (which will be going in a huge pocket envelope in my Project Life album), gifts from the mothers day stall at school and itunes gift cards.

Hubby even got in the act and got a card at the shops... I think he did good choosing the card. What mother can't relate to the earrings?

Nikki had a questionnaire thing from school to write answers about me. Her answers aren't as funny as she gets older but the spelling certainly makes me crack a grin *smile*. I won't list all her answers here but the ones that made me smile were:

Mum's favourite food: Tasty nodels (noodles)

Mum's favourite drink: Wiyn (wine)

My mum's hobby is: Stampping Up (Stampin' Up!)

Mum's favourite book is: The widing (wedding)

Hubs cooked a lovely breakie, we went out and got kebabs for lunch (totally what I wanted) and headed off to a local park for our annual mothers day photo (of me and the kids).

We had a lovely roast from the webber for dinner along with my mum, step dad, my sister and her fiance before retiring to watch some tv in the evening.

All in all, it was a lovely day where I did little and was spoilt that went way to fast!

Project life: week 6

I was telling myself I couldn't get more than two weeks behind and we are almost starting week 10, (as I still have 6 month of my last album to catch up on). I was struggling big time with this week 6 spread. I think it is because so many of the photos have the kids in school uniform and I didn't want the whole week to be full of navy and maroon...

Project Life: Week 5

Week 5 already? The weeks are coming around fast and my album is looking bright and lively as we get further and further into it. This week I've included a calendar for January with notes about appointments, activities etc. On the back side, I've included my kids height, weight and shoe size (taken every 3 months since they were born).

Project life: week 4

We had a few gem's this week including some interesting comments from our eldest daughter (see below). This week also included an insert. I've photographed it all together and separate so you can see it all. My youngest got her first pair of glasses this week and I've included her script on the page as well (great for when she has her eyes tested next and we can see if there is any changes in her vision.)

Project Life: Week 4 sneak

I was hoping to get my project life week 4 spread up today but with the wild and windy weather followed by rain there wasn't a huge chance for photos. I've a sneak to share until I can get a decent pic of the weekly spread including my double page insert.

Project life - week 3

I'm really enjoying getting the weeks completed quickly after each week is over and sharing it. Not to mention the kids love seeing photos fill up the album and love having more and more pages to turn as time goes on.

Project life - week 2

Another week completed already! The days sometimes blend into one and another around here with the kids still on school holidays until early Feb.

This week documents my trip to the hospital, a birthday party for the girls, face painting, making cookies, gardening and lots more. I have included a copy of the invite the girls recieved to the above mentioned birthday party for two reasons. 1. Helps with the memory and 2. It makes it a lot easier to find parents phone numbers when trying to arrange play dates and also stops the kids searching for the phone numbers.

Project life - week 1

It's taken me a few days to finish the week 1 spread, but it is finally completed after a few days. I loved that I managed to get a few stamped images on some of the cards. Scroll down for the close up of the game spinner. I must use game spinner on a card asap I think. I know certain boys would love it!

Project Life

Last year, I took begun scrapbooking many of our everyday family moments Project Life style. I am doing it again and hoping to be more organised with sharing our everyday moments. (I am currently 6 months behind on printing photos for Project Life and writing journaling on the journaling cards. Thank goodness for the word.doc I have all the journaling saved in!)

Today I am sharing my opening page for my 2012 album. I will use two albums to store the years worth of memories as I add extra inserts with certificates from school, children's artwork and stories etc. I am using the Becky Higgins Cobalt kit but have added in some digital elements from the Clementine range for my opening page also.

The family photo I've included on the front page, taken New Year's Eve. (It's a little hard to see in the page protector.) 

I have included our names in our own handwriting on the front page and will hopefully repeat it again at the end of the year and see how the kids handwriting has changed.

I enjoy documenting our daily lives (not to mention the kids love looking through it all the time) and I hope you enjoy a sneak peak into the chaos around my home also as the year progresses.
