Corset card again

Remember the corset hen's party card I shared a few weeks back? I was asked to make another card exactly like one made by Genevieve Valdes. Genevieve made it simple by sharing her template. I made a few alterations to the template so it was top opening (not side opening) and backed it with additional cardstock to make the card nice and strong. Other than those changes, it was all Genny's template! This card is for a birthday card but it would made a lovely dirty 30 invite or a hens night invite also.

Mateirals used:

Stamps: Petite pairs (inside)

Inkpads: Riding hood red, basic black

Cardstock: Blushing bride, very vanilla

Accessories: 1/4" very vanilla grosgrain ribbon, big shot, Victoria crochet trim, vintage wallpaper textured impressions embossing folder

Baby card

I was contacted this week to make a custom baby card for a couple who recently announced their pregnancy. I took this request and mixed it in with the current Just Add Ink colour challenge. I think it would work wonderfully for a baby shower invite also.

Large corset card

Do you remember these invites I posted a while back? Since posting them, I have had many requests to create invitations for other hen's nights. The latest request was to make a larger corset card, for others to write well wishes in. The finished card is larger than 6" x 8". This would also make a cute as invitation for a hens night, it is slightly different to the previous ones I made.

70th birthday

Hubby's aunt/godmother turned 70 recently and I made her this card. It was inspired by my petal card from my December 2010 class.  I think this style card would look great as an invitation also and would work for both male and females.

Wedding invitation

I've been trying to crank out some new wedding invites for my portfolio this week. Here is a finished sample. I have plans for others and hopefully you'll see them soon too.

This invite is a double Z fold style using mocha morning speciality designer series paper.

Tea cup birthday invite

It's birthday week (8 days really) here at the moment. This week from Monday till next Tuesday is packed with cooking, celebrations and presents. On Monday, Nikki turned 7, on Friday she is having a afternoon tea birthday party with school friends, we have family celebrations on Sunday and finishing off with Drew's 6th birthday on Tuesday. Between cooking cakes, goodies and getting ready for guests, I hope you can understand if my blogging is on the light side over the coming days.

I do however, have Nikki's invite to share. As I mentioned, she is having an afternoon tea party and of course, I had to make themed invitations.

New creations - Day 2

Welcome back to day 2 of my Idea Book & Creations creations.

Today I've made an invite that I think would be perfect for a sleepover. I've printed the words "You're invited" using my computer/printer as I didn't have a stamp the right size. I am sure as soon as my daughter Nikki sees this invite, she'll be pestering me to use it (and to make more) to invite her friends over for a sleepover.

Wedding invitations

Just a little pile of cardstock that has been keeping me busy of late, wedding invitations for a client.

Finally done...

Today I have finally finished my sister's engagement invites. Honestly, I am glad they are done. I spent many hours on them but she loves them so I guess that is the main thing.

Her invites are an "explosion card", see this post for a picture with the wording on the back.
