Swaps...

Madly trying to make my swaps for convention here. Have a whole production line of things done and now I have lost the stamp I was using... Somehow (or someone) has taken it from my craft desk.... Totally peeing me off right now.

Since I am on the topic of swaps, I will share the swap I made for the team picnic. I didn't actually end up going as I was sick but I have mailed all my swaps out to the girls that made it.

 

Materials list:

Stamps: 5th avenue floral

Ink: Ruby red, cameo coral, baja breeze, basic black

Cardstock: Ruby red, cameo coral, whisper white, kiwi kiss

Punches: 3/4 circle, 5 flower petal, scallop circle

Other: Sizzix grass die cut

While making the swaps I also made the below cards as I was having a love affair with punched flowers. Uses mainly the same materials except also uses the large star punch, some DSP (urban garden) and baroque motifs stamp set along with pink pirouette and baja breeze cardstock.

 

 My normal philosophy is if something is missing, don't look for it. So I might give that a go. In the meantime, back to the drawing board for my convention swaps.

I mentioned something to Nat the other day about O.T.T and he asked me what O.T.T stood for. I told him "over the top" to which he replied with I thought it stood for "ON THE TOILET!"

Wedding goodies

Just some of the wedding goodies I made last month and didn't get around to sharing.

Name tags and signing tags.

Materials list: (All SU unless otherwise mentioned)

Cardstock: Kraft, whisper white, taken with teal

Stamps: Occasional greetings

Ink: Basic black

Other (source unknown for most items): Rockford font, grosgrain ribbon, ribbon charm, tag die (Sizzix)

I would have made the bonbonniere only we ended up having wine glasses with a bridal couple and our names on them. Seeing as this is a wedding post, I have finally complied a mini collage of the day. Forgot loads of photos (esp. the kids) but it gives you the general idea. Still waiting on the professional photos anxiously!!!

Happy Birthday Shaunie

Today is my sister's boyfriends birthday, so happy birthday to you Shaunie. It also marks the last of our April birthdays. So a small break just before Mother's day. Which totally reminds me, I had better get started on those gifts.

Anyhow, Shaunie's card. Love this stamp set. Am using it for my convention swaps, but will show those coming up closer to convention.

Two today...

My Bella Boo is 2 years old today. This will be just a very quick post with a pic of her card. We spent a fair portion of the day getting to/from a naming day in South Morang and I am exhausted.

Materials list:

A year of us

I am slowly making my way through the free 2peasclass by Robyn Werlich (www.twopeasinabucket.com), A year of you. I am focusing on "us" as a family and what we have done each month. So far, I have only finished January and February's pages (but have kept up to date with all of my journaling so far.)

January's journaling ddiscusses how we purchased new shoes for all the kids and what sizes their feet are and Nikki's fascination of make up during the month.

February's journaling is about the quote-able moments the kids have said during the month and what activities we got up to during Feb.

= I know where to go, don't follow me. (First day of school)

= I had dirt cake (mud cake)

= I drink coffee sometimes (milk and water)

Nikki

= I didn't cry (first day of kinder)

Bella

= I fine it (found it)

February's layout uses all SU products unless otherwise mentioned and the JJanuary layout uses nothing new only retired SU items.

Going to try and get a good nights sleep tonight. Slept for less then 5 hours last night. It was Nat's first night back at work after 3 weeks off, but I don't think it was that. I just couldn't "shut off'. Tried to get some of the creating done today that was whirling around in my head so hopefully that helps.

Laryngitis

I have laryngitis yet again but the great thing about that is it doesn't stop me from creating!!! I am loving the 5th avenue floral stamp set and here is a card I made using all neutral colours.

Off to deal with dinner before sitting down to create again. Have some card swaps for a team picnic to design.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter to all. Hope you are not consuming too much chocolate. So far, I have not had any chocolate today. Might have something to do with the promise I got Nat to make last night and not let me eat any junk for a week... We will see how long it lasts! LOL

Had a play with some punches today after all my cleaning and made a bunny. Inspiration comes from Sam Paris

A gem of a photo of Nikki with some of her chocolate this morning. Only Bella had chocolate for breakfast so the older kids are slowly learning. I spent the morning doing a massive clean up of their rooms and the toy room. The house was a pigsty. Not so much anymore thank goodness!
